1. Information we collect
Forage may collect the following information:
- Contact and business information: your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing or service address, domain, social links, hours, service area, and instructions you provide.
- Order and account information: the package selected, amount, transaction status, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, renewal status, support history, and records showing whether you accepted applicable terms.
- Website materials: logos, photos, testimonials, copy, credentials or account access you choose to provide, and factual corrections.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, and security or server logs.
- Communications: emails, text messages, support requests, approvals, and cancellation or transfer instructions.
We also use publicly available business information to research and prepare private demo sites. Public information may come from a business's own pages, public directories, maps, review platforms, social pages, and other lawful sources.
Stripe collects full card and bank-payment details directly. Forage does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and demonstrate websites, communicate about an order, process and reconcile payments, register or transfer domains, launch and host websites, provide Care Plan benefits, send operational notices, manage cancellations, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the service, keep required business records, and comply with law.
We may use business contact details to offer a relevant Forage demo or service. You can ask us to stop outreach at any time. We do not use customer content to train a Forage-owned general-purpose AI model.
4. Website, demo-link, and QR data
Basic server logs are used for delivery, troubleshooting, security, and aggregate traffic measurement. A demo URL, QR code, or campaign link may include an identifier so we can tell that the specific demo was opened or scanned. This can associate a visit with the business for which the demo was created, but it is not used to follow visitors across unrelated websites.
Third-party embedded content, payment pages, maps, videos, fonts, or social links may receive technical information when your browser loads them. Their cookies and tracking are controlled by their own privacy policies.
Where a nonessential analytics or advertising technology requires consent under applicable law, we will request it before enabling that technology.
5. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including active service, domain and transfer records, customer support, fraud prevention, tax/accounting obligations, disputes, and legal compliance. Transaction and contract records may be retained for at least seven years. Unpurchased lead and outreach records are reviewed periodically and may be deleted or de-identified when no longer useful or legally required.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and access controls, but no internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed perfectly secure. Please do not send payment-card numbers, highly sensitive identity documents, or passwords through ordinary email or text unless we specifically provide a secure method.
6. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information associated with you, subject to identity verification and legal recordkeeping exceptions. You may opt out of marketing outreach, request removal of an unpurchased demo, or update your contact details at any time.
Care Plan customers can manage billing details and cancellation at forage.life/manage. A billing cancellation does not automatically delete records we must keep or materials needed to continue the purchased website under its agreement.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the service is intended for adults acting for businesses.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as providers or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes affecting active customers will be communicated reasonably.
