Plain-English service agreement

Your website, your domain, clear boundaries.

This agreement explains exactly what a Forage website purchase includes, what the optional Care Plan covers, and what happens if you cancel it.

Effective August 31, 2026

1. Parties and acceptance

This Website Services Agreement is between the customer identified at checkout ("Customer" or "you") and Jordan, the sole proprietor operating the Forage website service ("Forage," "we," or "us"). The order and payment records identify both parties and are incorporated into this agreement.

You accept this agreement when you affirmatively agree to it at checkout, sign an order summary that incorporates it, or ask us in writing to begin paid work after receiving a link to it. Your Stripe receipt and order summary identify the package and price you selected. The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are incorporated into this agreement.

Plain English: paying for a site does not secretly enroll you in the monthly Care Plan. The Care Plan is a separate, optional purchase.

2. One-time website purchase

$397 existing-domain packageThe finished website shown in your order or demo, launch on a domain you already control, basic static hosting, and a copy of the final website files.
$497 new-domain packageThe same website deliverables plus one standard, non-premium domain acquired and configured for your business for its first registration term.
Not includedOngoing edits, custom software, ecommerce, paid advertising, legal or accessibility certification, guaranteed search placement, or third-party subscription fees unless the order summary expressly says otherwise.

The website is generally sold from a working demo you can inspect before purchase. The one-time price includes one reasonable round of factual corrections requested within seven calendar days after launch, such as correcting a phone number, hours, service area, or misspelling. A redesign, new page, new feature, or change in creative direction is new work and requires a separate written quote.

We aim to launch within five business days after we receive the information, access, and approval needed to proceed. Third-party account delays, domain transfer locks, missing customer materials, and events outside our control extend that timeline.

The site is accepted when you approve it in writing or seven calendar days after launch if you do not report a material failure to match the purchased demo or agreed corrections.

3. Domain registration, control, and hosting

Domain ownership

A domain included with the $497 package is acquired for your business. Forage may initially hold administrative control in its registrar account so we can configure DNS and launch the site. You are the beneficial owner after full payment. You may request transfer to your own registrar account at no Forage transfer fee after any registrar or ICANN transfer lock expires. Registrar renewal or transfer charges remain your responsibility unless an active Care Plan or Growth Plan expressly covers them.

We will not hold your domain hostage, sell it to someone else, or condition transfer on buying another service. You must provide an eligible registrar account and complete any identity or email confirmation the registrar requires.

Basic static hosting

Basic static hosting is included with the one-time website purchase at no additional charge while Forage continues to offer that hosting service. It keeps the purchased site online as-is. It does not include an uptime service-level agreement, content changes, active monitoring, custom server work, email hosting, or paid third-party services.

If Forage plans to discontinue basic hosting, we will provide at least 60 days' notice using the most recent contact information you supplied, provide the final files, and reasonably assist with a transfer. You can request your website files or a domain transfer at any time.

4. Optional Website Care Plan

The Website Care Plan costs $39 per month unless your checkout states a different amount. It renews automatically each month until canceled. The amount, billing frequency, and cancellation link are disclosed before checkout and in your welcome email.

While active and paid, the Care Plan includes:

  • managed renewal of one covered standard domain when its renewal comes due;
  • routine hosting administration and basic uptime/link checks;
  • priority support; and
  • one small update request per calendar week, with unused requests expiring at the end of that week.

What counts as one small update

One small update is one bundled request affecting one existing page and no more than three content items. Examples include changing hours or a phone number, replacing up to three customer-provided photos, editing up to 150 words of existing copy, updating listed prices, or adding/removing one short promotion. Standard turnaround is five business days after we receive complete instructions and usable materials.

What the Care Plan does not include

It does not include a redesign, a new page, custom functionality, ecommerce, booking or CRM integrations, logo design, original photography, long-form copywriting, advertising management, emergency or same-day work, regulatory/legal review, accessibility certification, or guaranteed rankings, leads, sales, or AI-search placement. We will quote larger work before beginning it.

Website Growth Plan — $99 per month

The optional Website Growth Plan costs $99 per month unless your checkout states a different amount, renews automatically each month until canceled, and is disclosed the same way as the Care Plan. While active and paid, it includes:

  • everything in the Website Care Plan;
  • Google Business Profile: one-time setup or claim assistance plus ongoing management, with up to two profile posts or updates per month (specials, photos, hours). One business location; Google controls its own verification steps and final approval;
  • the same weekly small-update allowance, delivered faster — a standard two-business-day turnaround instead of five;
  • seasonal specials posted for you on both the website and the Google Business Profile — up to four seasonal-special postings per year, not counted against weekly update requests or monthly profile posts; and
  • a quarterly plain-English report on how the site is showing up in search, from Google Search Console and site analytics.

The "one small update" definition above applies to Growth Plan update requests. The Care Plan exclusions above apply to both plans. Every cancellation, refund, failed-payment, and domain provision in this agreement that refers to the Care Plan applies equally to the Growth Plan.

5. Cancellation and failed payments

You can cancel the Care Plan online at forage.life/manage or by using the contact method on your receipt. There is no cancellation fee and no requirement to call or speak with a sales representative.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You may use any remaining plan benefit through that date. Stripe will not charge another renewal after the cancellation becomes effective.

After cancellation:

  • your purchased site and final files remain yours;
  • the static website stays online under the basic hosting terms above;
  • monthly updates, active monitoring, priority support, and managed domain renewal end (this applies to the Care Plan and the Growth Plan alike);
  • you become responsible for future domain renewals; and
  • if Forage controls the domain, we will offer a no-fee transfer to your registrar account and keep DNS working during any mandatory transfer lock.

If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it and notify you. Care Plan benefits may be suspended seven days after the failed due date, but a failed Care Plan payment does not transfer ownership of your site or domain to Forage.

6. Refund policy

One-time website purchases

If the purchased demo has not been launched and no domain or other nonrefundable third-party item has been purchased, you may request a full refund. Once a domain is purchased, its actual nonrefundable registrar cost may be deducted. After the website is launched and accepted, the one-time purchase is nonrefundable except when Forage materially fails to deliver the purchased site and does not correct that failure within a reasonable time.

Care Plan renewals

We do not prorate partial months. If you request cancellation and a refund within seven days after a monthly renewal, and no update, domain renewal, or paid third-party service has been used for that billing month, we will refund that renewal. Duplicate, unauthorized, or legally refundable charges will be handled promptly. Domain registration and renewal fees already paid to a registrar are nonrefundable to the extent the registrar does not refund them.

7. Ownership and reusable materials

After full payment, you own your business content and receive the right to use, modify, host, and transfer the final website files delivered for your business. You keep ownership of materials you supplied.

Forage retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, generators, design systems, reusable templates, libraries, workflows, and general know-how. To the extent those reusable materials are embedded in your website, Forage grants you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them as part of your website. This allows you to own and move your finished site without preventing Forage from using its own tools for other customers.

AI-assisted or stock materials may be subject to the applicable provider's terms and may not be exclusive to you. We transfer or sublicense the usage rights we are permitted to provide, but we do not promise that an AI-generated image, layout idea, or common website element is unique in the world.

8. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing business facts before and after launch and promptly reporting errors. You represent that you have permission to use the names, trademarks, logos, photos, testimonials, and other materials you provide. You are responsible for your business licenses, claims, advertising, industry disclosures, privacy notices, and compliance obligations.

You must maintain current contact information, safeguard account credentials, complete registrar confirmations, and avoid making unauthorized DNS or account changes during launch. Forage is not responsible for delays or losses caused by inaccurate instructions, missing access, expired customer-controlled accounts, or materials you were not authorized to use.

9. Third parties, warranties, liability, and disputes

Websites depend on third parties such as Stripe, registrars, Vercel, Cloudflare, analytics providers, search engines, and internet networks. Their outages, policy changes, indexing decisions, and account actions are outside Forage's control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, search rankings, leads, revenue, review placement, AI citations, or compatibility with every future browser or platform.

Services are provided with reasonable care, but otherwise on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forage disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forage is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Forage's total liability arising from an order will not exceed the amount you paid Forage for that order during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You will defend and indemnify Forage from third-party claims arising from content or instructions you supplied, your business operations, or your violation of law or another person's rights, except to the extent caused by Forage's own wrongful conduct.

Before filing a claim, both sides agree to give written notice and spend 30 days trying in good faith to resolve it. Tennessee law governs this agreement, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Tennessee, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Important: This agreement applies prospectively to customers who accept it. Publishing it does not silently rewrite an earlier customer's agreement.
